George Christensen’s interest in film began when he was a young child.
He grew up in a military family, which allowed him to grow up on a small
island off the coast of Sardinia.
It was jam packed full of adventure as HELMETKIDS. went to NAB 2011 in Las Vegas, NV. We were excited to go to the event, upgrade equipment (with great deals), and network network network! It was surprising we made it through the whole week without losing our head from all the great toys and giveaways the FCPUG Supermeet had.
But, HELMETKIDS. went to Vegas with a purpose and a pocket full of money just burning to be spent on some cool new gear. Yes, just gear. Ok, maybe some raffle tickets, and maybe… oh so fuzzy on the details. The good news is that we came home with so much stuff we didn’t know how to pack them in our luggage and the excitement of some Arri and Kino light kits and Ikan production monitors coming in the mail kept us wagging our tails for weeks every time we saw FedEx drive by the office.
Although all the walking did a number on our feet, we had good times on the floor. While talking to the guys at Redrock and checking out the follow focus, we found a great “that’s what she said” moment which won Miggy a free hat. Score! Thanks Redrock…. also for the amazing rig and goodies we got.
Everything else that happened in Vegas.......Well stayed in Vegas
